The Institute has joined Parks Canada and Nature Canada to create My Parks Pass. The pass grants all grade eight students in Canada free entry, for one year, to the over 200 National Parks, National Historic Sites and National Marine Conservation areas administered by Parks Canada, including Riel House, Jasper National Park, the Halifax Citadel and Bruce Peninsula National Park. The program introduces young Canadians to our natural heritage, in the hopes that they will continue to appreciate the beauty and history of the Canadian landscape. The My Parks Pass website also contains a number of learning tools for teachers that connect the Parks and historic sites to curriculum across Canada.
